Yesterday was the most amazing day. When Nick gets home from school, he likes to have a little quiet time and watches Mr. Rogers on TV. After Mr. Rogers, the cooking shows come on, and I switched it off. Nick got so mad at me, so I turned it back on and thought, "What if he really does like the cooking shows and he is absorbing the information?" Jill, he loves to watch cooking shows, documentaries and shows with people sharing information. My limited thinking said he couldn't possibly understand what they were saying and that this would be boring for him. Now I see that none of that is his reality! I shared that with his teacher and told her about the workshop. She asked for more information, and I am also sending the workshop information to some of the local "autism email groups" that send out emails about upcoming events. Jill, thank you.
